Equipment :: How does he do it?
I've made this section to assist anybody that wants to become big in the trance scene. I am not by any means a huge star in trance, but I have my fair share of recognition on the internet. I have made this section to show you what programs I use, and I have hosted them also if they are freeware or shareware.
Program :: Music 2000 :: PC :: £29.99 :: Codemasters :: [download demo] (23.5mb)
  This is a stunning program, it enables you to create pretty much ANY sound that you want. The beauty of this over eJay is that you are able to create your OWN samples using the built in riff editor. There are also over 3000 keys to choose from, and you can import others, for example, I import sounds I make on SimSynth and make tunes in Music2000. It is a great program for newbies and pros alike. Buy it if you are serious about making a great start in music creation!

Program :: SimSynth v1.3 :: PC :: Freeware :: [download] (229kb)
  This is a fab little program, allowing you to create single notes in any key. So for example, you play with the sequencer settings, choose the key, effects and wav bitrate, then click MAKE. It makes this sound, which can be played back and tweaked till the sound is right. Then you can import this sound into Music 2000 and construct your own melodies. I use SimSynth in every track I create because it is a diverse little program. And best of all, it's free!

Program :: Cool Edit 2000 :: PC :: Shareware ($69) :: [download] (10mb)
  If you want powerful sound editing at a great price, you really cannot go wrong with Syntrilliam's Cool Edit 2000. It manages to cram some very cool audio effects into it, which means you can add some excellent and sometime much needed atmospehere to the sounds you make in SimSynth. It is also great for me because I record my live mixes into it, and add reverb which gives the mix more of a 'being there' feel. Try the shareware, then buy the full thing.

Program :: Winamp :: PC :: Freeware :: [download] (different sized versions)
  Well, Winamp may not physically AID me in music creation but what else can you use that plays mp3s as well, as functional and as simple as Winamp. Not only can you make it look cool (by downloading one of the thousands of skins on the official webiste), but there are also a multitude of plugins ranging from discolights to crossfader and even small real time strategy games. There's only one way to listen to music, and it's using Winamp.
